FTP Policies

Each FTP Username and Password (account) must only be used by one individual or process and must not be shared. In addition to this, you must also contact Chapman Data Services, Inc. when any employee with access to the Username and Password leaves your company or is no longer responsible for transferring or retrieving files so that the current password can be changed. If you require that the password be changed because you have forgotten it or for any other reason, your contact at Chapman Data Services Inc. will assist you in getting a new password created.

Only files pertinent to production processes may be transferred or retrieved from the FTP Server. FTP accounts do NOT have the ability to delete files from the FTP Server. If you require a file on the FTP Server to be deleted, your contact at Chapman Data Services, Inc. will be able to assist you. Chapman Data Services, Inc. logs all access and usage of the FTP Server, including the IP Address of the computer you access it from, the Username associated with the account used to connect to the server and all files that are transferred or retrieved.

Once we receive your application, we will fulfill the request and activate the FTP account for you or your companies use. We will email you at the email address provided above with your FTP Username and Password. This email will contain a link to a guide on our Website that explains the configuration of your FTP program to connect to our SecureFTP Server.
